Letter Guidelines
Write only in blue or black ink.
Use white, unlined paper. Write on one side of each sheet. No stickers, glitter, or whiteout.
Include his first and last name as well as his ID number, page numbers, date, and a return address at the top of each sheet like this:

What to Write
Don’t say anything you don’t want read on Fox News or in court. Don’t say anything that could adversely impact Des in prison. Your letter will be read by Special Investigation Service (SIS) at FCI Victorville who have the ability to make Des’s life miserable.
Instead of writing a firey political letter, please write to Des as a person, from you, another person. He loves hearing your stories about plants and animals, vegan food and cooking, rituals and spirituality, tattooing and art making, history and ecology, motorcycle riding and being outdoors. He loves seeing your line drawings on letters. Although you must address envelopes to his full government name, within your letter you can call Des, Daniel, or Dani.
